Sunday Sous Sessions with Studio NEON
We’ve been in business a long time, and yet we still take part in fresh and bold new hospitality experiences. The inaugural Sunday Sous Sessions series, a collaboration between event specialists Studio NEON and Hopscotch Collective, has been such an experience.
As the name implies, the stars of these sessions are four very talented sous chefs, best known for their work at some of Sydney’s most renowned dining venues. These sessions allow diners to get a bit more up close and personal with the personalities and processes behind some jaw-dropping food.
The sessions take place in a space set-up especially for the Sunday Sous Sessions at the former Marque restaurant, over four consecutive Sundays with four different sous chefs:
- Andy Ashby – nel. Restaurant (Sunday 3rd September)
- Khanh Nguyen – Cirrus Dining (Sunday 10th September)
- Sam Young – Merivale (Sunday 17th September)
- Alex Farrow – North Bondi Fish (Sunday 24th September)
Clifford Wallace waiters in dapper black have been serving up visually stunning food. Each week, a different aesthetic and point of view with the same refinement and distinction. The exclusively curated five-course degustation menus reveal a lot about the respective sous chefs’ approach to food and flavour.
We’re delighted to be a part of helping these memorable, one-off menus shine in the way each chef intends.
Photographer Stuart Garske captured the quiet elegance of the sessions. Personally briefed by each sous chef, our staff are key in delivering not only their food, but their ideas and their vision to guests.
There’s only one Sunday Sous Session left! You are able to purchase tickets ($165 per person) from Studio Neon. We can’t wait to see what awaits at the final session; Sunday Sous Sessions could become a highlight of the Sydney foodie calendar for years to come!
