Employee of the Month July

It’s a pleasure to announce that Basil Hohl is our Employee of the Month for July 2018.

When Basil joined Clifford Wallace Agency earlier this year, it didn’t take long for everyone to realise that this is a guy who is at the top of his game, with both clients and colleagues giving him rave reviews. No stranger to the world of professional hospitality, Basil has been a Senior Supervisor for many years. A jack of all trades, his experience spans everything from supervising a 3000 pax/250 staff extravaganza as part of the Sydney 2000 Olympics bid to being Catering Manager at some of Sydney’s most prestigious corporate firms. On top of that, he’s one of the nicest guys around.

Basil was born in Sydney to Austrian/Swiss parents and grew up in Eastlakes and Ryde with his twin brother. After school, the two of them enrolled as waiters at Ryde Catering college and Basil gained an apprenticeship with an Italian restaurant at Balmoral Beach before he started working with agencies.

“I enjoy being with people and working with staff, giving my best of knowledge and skills and having a little fun while there,” said Basil.

One of things people love about Basil is the mentoring and encouragement he gives to newcomers to the industry. He encourages new team members to;

“Work hard, do well, enjoy and be honest and learn as much as you can everyday. Also be happy. Life is an experience and eye opener and so is hospitality. Work as a team and fulfil your dreams  It’s a crazy world out there.”

One thing is for sure, Basil has made a positive impact both on his colleagues and the clients he works with. We’re proud to have Basil on board with the Clifford Wallace team and we congratulate him on this well deserved award.
